hi ladies -
i love the sf ysa rs gdg. we have been having some awesome discussions, and i think this will only get better.
for our next meeting and into the future, everyone should really think about compelling gospel questions they have had. there is certainly lots to talk about. this post is to start a conversation so we can decide on a topic to disucss on the 19th.
i found a list of gospel questions that i made while i was on my mission. a lot of them are pretty nit-picky, but it got me to thinking, and here are some questions i have, just to start the discussion to formulate our next topic. PLEASE comment and leave your own questions!
-how does eternal progression work? once we are assigned a kingdom at the last judgment, how do we continue to progress? how did christ become perfect? what does perfect mean in relation to our different personalities?
-what conditions allow god to interfere or make him intervene in our lives or in the world in general?
-how should we deal with the topic of homosexuality? (i know, super tricky - not sure if we want to go there, but i sometimes think it would be good to hear everyone's thoughts)
-how do we respond to different people's different objections to the church, to organized religion, etc?
-how do we retain the lessons we have learned and the improvements we have made in our lives? how do we combat our weaknesses that just keep surfacing?
WHAT ARE YOUR QUESTIONS? let's use this blog a bit in the coming days to brainstorm more and more.
you are all so wonderful!
